The Latvian natural cosmetics brand MARUSHA is based on two important values in its operation - sustainability and clean, harmless cosmetics from local plants and high-quality, certified raw materials.
We look at sustainability from two perspectives. By creating sustainable cosmetics, we benefit both people and our planet. A sustainable product provides essential needs for the skin, while at the same time not having a harmful impact on the environment.
Recently, people have become more and more concerned about the ingredients that are added to make beauty products. For several obvious reasons, natural cosmetics are more and more in demand than any chemically created products.
People are becoming more and more aware of the consequences of their actions on the environment. For these reasons, nothing can be more valuable than choosing products that fulfill two needs - clean, safe cosmetics and a purchase without the guilt of environmental impact.
The MARUSHA brand and sustainability
Sustainability is our core value in product creation, raw material selection and the entire production cycle. How it gets? First of all, we create product recipes that contain pure, known, safe and natural raw materials, which are collected by our own hands or purchased from verified, safe suppliers.
Secondly, the raw materials used are certified and natural, which is confirmed by certificates, and they are added within the limits of the quantities specified in the manufacturer's documents. We do not add dyes and other chemical raw materials. We use natural, certified essential oils and we get the color of the product from natural materials and natural resources (for example, natural clay, plants).
Thirdly, the production process is environmentally friendly and clean. All our products are 100% handmade. In the course of it, there is no chemical processing of raw materials. The production uses dishes made from pure, harmless material, namely glass.
Half of the products are prepared without heating (just mixing them in containers), and part - with minimal heating, which is necessary for mixing liquid and solid ingredients, for example, melting cocoa and shea butter, so that they do not lose their positive properties and nutrients.
What are natural cosmetics?
When it comes to natural cosmetics, it differs from conventional cosmetics, first of all, in that it is made from raw materials that are safe for health, non-toxic and quickly break down (do not accumulate) in nature. Second, natural cosmetics are more effective in the long run.
Chemically produced products produce a short-term effect, but in the long-term, when absorbed into the body over a long period of time, can cause health problems, such as allergies, cancer, psoriasis. On the other hand, natural cosmetics and their natural ingredients have a long-term effect - they are characterized by a deep effect and a long-lasting positive result.
By producing natural cosmetics, we support local economies and small businesses. For example, by buying honey and adding it to natural soap (our "Carrot-Honey-Orange" soap ), we support local bee farms. Secondly, our product range includes various linen accessories - Linen shower/bath glove, Linen massage cloth, as well as black clay accessories - Black clay soap dish.
The accessories are made by Latvian seniors and local rural entrepreneurs, and it is 100% handmade. This confirms that we are also a socially responsible family business, as we also create jobs for the local community and seniors. Accessories make the use of cosmetics convenient, beautiful and enjoyable.
